(Ottawa) Ottawa will distribute 140 million rapid tests in January. They will be sent to all provinces and territories in proportion to the population.
This is four times the quantity of the 35 million rapid screening tests delivered in December, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said. Quebec then obtained 11.2 million, which it chose to distribute in pharmacies.
Mr. Trudeau provided an update on Wednesday on the measures put in place by the federal government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic with the federal Minister of Health, Jean-Yves Duclos, the Minister of Finance, Chrystia Freeland, and representatives of Public Health.
