When art transforms the oldest HLM in Quebec
Already, at the time of its founding, MU had Habitations Jeanne Mance in its sights. “It’s the largest and oldest HLM in Quebec,” says Elizabeth-Ann Doyle, artistic director of MU, excitedly. Regretfully, the group had to leave the premises it had occupied for a dozen years at the beginning of March to make way for tenants, at a time when housing is badly needed.
