“Everywhere in France, we play at home”, assures Jordan Bardella, president of the National Rally (RN), Wednesday on France Bleu Roussillon, while the RN chose the city of Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales), a city led by the RN Louis Aliot, to hold a meeting on this 1st- May.
The meeting will start at 2 p.m. at the Palais des Congrès. Opponents of the RN plan to demonstrate in front. “I call on them to respect democracy, the RN is given the lead in these European elections, explains Jordan Bardella, with more than 32% of the votes, voting intentions. There are elected officials, parliamentarians, so it is normal that we can hold a meeting, that we can express ourselves.”
“May 1st does not belong to anyone. It does not belong to the RN, it obviously belongs to all French people.”
Jordan Bardella, president of the RNon France Bleu Roussillon
Jordan Bardella adds that “we love traditions, we honor them and we defend them. May 1st is, every year, the occasion of a big meeting for the RN. We are going to talk a lot about work in this meeting, in these European elections more widely. Many French people realize that work no longer pays enough.
The president of the RN wants to take advantage of this meeting to hammer home that “These European elections are really a clash between the Europe of Nations that we support and the Europe of Macron. What is at stake in these European elections are extremely concrete issues such as security, the power of purchase, the fight against illegal and clandestine immigration, and therefore we have the vocation to go everywhere in France to talk about these subjects, to talk about France and to tell the French that on June 9, to abstain is is still voting a little Emmanuel Macron”he concludes.
