This Monday, students from the Pierre and Marie Curie school in Garges-lès-Gonesse (Val d’Oise) are taking the helm of the franceinfo junior show, alongside presenter Thomas Séchier.
Last week, dozens of dolphins washed up on the Australian coast, which also happens in France. The subject intrigues our young interviewers of the day. It is Eric Demay, cetologist, founder of the NGO TURSIOPS, for the protection of cetaceans and knowledge of the marine environment, who answers their questions.
Maïssa and Amine want to know why dolphins have washed up on the beach. “Have people banned boats from going fishing because the dolphins can get caught in the nets?” asks Maïssa.
The student also wants to know “why dolphins have fins on their backs”. “Are dolphins descended from sharks?” Amine questions.
Soumaya asks the guest if dolphins can be dangerous to humans.
“Are dolphins always necessarily blue?” Bilal questions.
