Christophe Marchais, father of Matisse, the teenager killed on April 27 in Châteauroux (Indre), spoke to France Télévisions. If he expects a heavy sentence for his son’s murderer, he does not want any political recovery of the case.

He agreed to speak to honor the memory of his son, Matisse. This 15 year old teenager he writes as kind and cheerful. For him, the high school student responsible for his fatal attack, which took place on the evening of April 27 in a street in Châteauroux (Indre), must be severely punished. “I also hope that justice will be done and that it will not be too lax, that it will be as much as possible. (…) It’s a real murder”he says.

An organized white march

Monday April 29, the alleged perpetrator of the fatal blows, a 15-year-old Afghan boy, who would be involved in another case of robbery with a knife, was imprisoned. His mother, who allegedly participated in the brawl, remains free, but indicted for intentional violence. Since Matisse’s death, right-wing and far-right parties have seized the affair, arousing the anger of the family. “I don’t want this to escalate because the aggressor is Afghan”, underlines the father. Saturday May 4, in the afternoon, a white march will be organized in memory of the teenager.
