Hamas released new videos of hostages on Saturday April 27. The two Israeli-Americans are under duress urging Israel to reach an agreement with Hamas. Like every Saturday, thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv to exert pressure.
A new video showing two hostages in the hands of Hamas was released on Saturday April 27. Under duress, Keith Siegel, 64, explains that he is in danger. The second, Omri Miran, 47, talks about numerous bombings and asks his family to put pressure on the government to find an agreement with Hamas. This is what thousands of demonstrators gathered that evening in Tel Aviv are demanding.
129 people are still hostages of Hamas
The families of the two hostages reacted. On April 17, Hamas published a similar video, that of Hersch Goldberg, 23 years old. His parents spoke directly to their son. Among these three hostages, two are Israeli-American: a way for Hamas to increase pressure on Israel and Washington. The Islamist organization says it is studying a new proposal from the Jewish state. It would allow a truce and the release of hostages. 129 are still in Hamas hands.
