In Italy, in Rome, cars were set on fire and vending machines were destroyed by around twenty anarchists. This attack occurred when the court in Turin (Italy) was examining an appeal by activist Alfredo Cospito, sentenced to 23 years in prison. In March 2023, anarchists violently demonstrated in support of him, in vain. Today, the Italian justice system once again rejected Alfredo Cospito’s request, requesting a more favorable detention regime.
Bosses’ remuneration is debated in Switzerland
In Switzerland, the remuneration of bosses is causing a stir. Sergio Ermoti, head of UBS, the largest Swiss bank, will receive more than 14 million euros in nine months. This amount was debated during the general meeting, which was held on Wednesday April 24. Some shareholders even decided to demonstrate, without result. The 14 million euros were voted by more than 80%.
