Present on Zoom, the six families and their lawyers commented on the judgment of an Ontario court offering them compensation of $ 107 million for the suffering incurred by the loss of their loved one. It followed a decision last spring which ruled that the destruction of the plane was an intentional act of terrorism.
The press briefing was interrupted, however, when a blasphemous rap video was launched by an unknown person. Lawyers and families were then forced to stop the conference and then start it again.
According to information gathered by Global News, the identity of the person as well as his responsibility remain unknown. For the moment, the reasons leading to this interruption are still uncertain.
Remember that flight PS752 was shot down on January 8, 2020, killing the 176 passengers on board, including 55 Canadians and 30 permanent residents.
