After the round of 16 which ended with the Lens-Lille match, the draw for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France took place on Tuesday evening. Here are the posters for this round, and the full schedule of matches, which will take place on January 29th and 30th.
PSG-Nice and Marseille-Montpellier
On the program for these round of 16, two clashes between elite clubs. Most successful club in the competition (14 wins) and double title holder, PSG will receive Nice , his runner-up in Ligue 1, exempted from the round of 16 after the sanction that struck Paris FC and Lyon (match given lost to both teams) due to incidents in the stands.
The other big poster between Ligue 1 clubs will oppose Marseille to Montpellier at the Velodrome.
Two other duels between L1 clubs will also take place at the end of January: Nantes will host Brest, Monaco will travel to the winner of the “derby” between Lens and Lille, the last round of 16 played this Tuesday evening at Bollaert.
The two “little thumbs” facing L2 and L1 clubs
On the side of Ligue 2, there will be a clash between Nancy and Amiens, two teams qualified after a penalty shootout. The Lorraine team, the red lantern of its championship, brought down Rennes, the winner of 2019. The Picards came close to the correction in front of Linas-Montlhéry, a fifth division team. SC Bastia, for its part, inherited Reims, 14th in Ligue 1.
