A few minutes from the last match of the round of 16 of the Coupe de France between Lens and Lille, the draw for the round of 16 has just delivered its verdict, Tuesday February 4, 2022. Now small thumbs of the competition, the residents of N2, Versailles and Bergerac, will respectively host Toulouse and Saint-Etienne.

Most successful club in the competition (14 wins) and double title holder, PSG will host Nice. It will be one of the four direct confrontations between elite clubs since Marseille will face Montpellier at the Vélodrome, and Monaco and Brest will travel to Lille or Lens for the Monegasques, and to Nantes for the Brestois.

After dropping two Ligue 1 teams on penalties (Troyes then Rennes), AS Nancy Lorraine will receive Amiens, another Ligue 2 resident. Another team in bad shape in the league, Sporting Club de Bastia will have a hard time to do on the lawn of Reims. The matches will be played between Friday 28th and and Monday 31st January.
