Since the attack carried out by Iran on Israel on the night of Saturday April 13 to Sunday April 14, numerous videos have been circulating on social networks and being relayed massively. Supposed to show panic and damage in Israel or a moment of popular jubilation among the Palestinians, they were in reality hijacked.
AfterIran’s attack on Israel, many videos are relayed massively on social networks. But they do not correspond to the attack on Iran. All were diverted. A first video purports to show missiles being exploded in Israel. Images picked up and broadcast by Iranian television, but a search on social networks shows that this video was published two months ago, and that it is in fact of a fire in Chile.
Other examples
Other videos have been widely shared, claiming to show panicked Israelis fleeing attacks, but this is still false. These images were filmed in Argentina last week. This is not a movement of panic, but fans of the British singer Louis Tomlinson, waiting for their idol at the foot of his hotel. These diverted images were also broadcast on Iranian state television. Finally, another video purports to show Palestinians welcoming Iranian attacks. In reality, these images were broadcast ten days ago, before the attack. It is a gathering in Jerusalem during Ramadan.
