A 21-year-old young woman was arrested after attacking a teenage girl in front of a high school in Deux-Montagnes while threatening her with an air gun. A scene witnessed by several students and which was broadcast on social networks.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. Thursday, in the parking lot of the Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes, located on Chemin des Anciens. The woman then begins to insult the teenager, a student at the establishment, while showing off her weapon which looks like a real firearm.
Meanwhile, dozens of other young people are gathered around the two women and observe the situation. Some shout, others record everything with their cell phones.
[La suspecte] was released on promise to appear, with a series of conditions to be respected,” specifies Jean-Philippe Labbé, inspector in the investigations division of the Lac des Deux-Montagnes police department.
According to initial information, it seems that the suspect wanted to defend a friend who was allegedly intimidated by the threatened teenager. “She greatly regretted her action,” indicates Inspector Labbé.
The woman, who has no criminal record, will be back in court on July 11, at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse.
