The knife attack which struck Bordeaux, in Gironde, on the evening of Wednesday April 10, took place in the heart of the city. A medical-psychological assistance unit has been set up.
On the morning of Thursday April 11, near the scene of the knife attack that occurred in Bordeaux (Gironde) the previous evening, the people of Bordeaux woke up groggy, marked by a very violent attack which caused all the inhabitants to react. “Scary and sad”deplores one of them.
The events took place in the heart of the city, in emblematic places of the Gironde city, between the stone bridge and the reflecting pool. “These are places that we all pass hundreds of times while walking, so yes, indeed, there is a feeling of fear that comes in”indicates a Bordeaux resident.
Traffic resumed normally Thursday morning
Thursday noon, the mayor (Europe Écologie-Les Verts) of the city, Pierre Hurmic, came to greet and thank the police. As of Wednesday, a medical-psychological assistance unit has been set up for residents who wish it. Partly closed for several hours, traffic resumed normally Thursday morning, in a city still damaged.
