WSP Global acquires a Spanish consulting company specializing in the energy sector.
The engineering firm announced the acquisition of 1A Ingenieros on Tuesday. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
The 1A Ingenieros firm has 250 employees, which will allow WSP to increase its workforce by 70% in Spain. WSP says the acquisition strengthens its capabilities in the energy sector in the region.
WSP has set itself the objective of increasing its offering in Central Europe and the transaction is part of this, commented its president and CEO, Alexandre L’Heureux, in a press release.
Both companies estimate that the acquisition should be completed during the second quarter of 2024.
WSP has nearly 66,500 employees worldwide and generated $14.4 billion in revenue in 2023.
