(Quebec) Quebec police are investigating Friday into an attempted murder that allegedly occurred in a residence on Saint-David Avenue early in the night.
Shortly after midnight, a man called the 911 center to report that he had just found a 32-year-old man bleeding on Saint-David Avenue. The man who called the emergency services took the initiative of putting the injured man into his car.
After the arrival of emergency services, the victim, who was in a “semi-conscious” state, was transported to a hospital center in a condition considered critical.
Early Friday morning, the Quebec City Police Department was still looking for a suspect. The first information collected, however, allowed him to affirm that it “would not be a random gesture”.
A security perimeter was erected at the location where the victim was found, while a second was set up at the residence where the attack allegedly occurred.
Major crimes investigators will be responsible for the investigation in this case, while forensic identification technicians will carry out the analysis of the two scenes.
Police warn that the obstruction on Saint-David Avenue could remain in place for part of the morning, Friday.
