It is in fact a call for witnesses in a rape case not resolved by the “cold case” unit. The device is a first in France. “It is a system which is intended to be very widely disseminated, particularly on the basis of social networks, but which is also intended to last, to last over time”indicates Pascal Prache, public prosecutor of Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine).
Witnesses confronted, for example, with photos of places
During the hearings, witnesses will, for example, be confronted with photos of locations or sketches. The data collected will then be reviewed by investigators. The “cold case” center hopes to receive around a hundred testimonies on this case. Other videos concerning other unresolved cases should be released soon.
