Surveillance is reinforced in the face of the terrorist threat, three days after the attacks which took place in Moscow (Russia). The French government has upgraded the vigipirate plan to its highest level. The country went from “reinforced security” to “attack emergency”. Thus, 4,000 soldiers will be deployed throughout the territory, in addition to the 3,000 already mobilized as part of the sentinel operation.

The objective is to increase patrols in front of schools, places of worship and even on public transport. Searches could also be organized at the entrance to certain buildings. Since 2020, ten terrorist attacks have taken place on French soil, and 14 attacks have been foiled by the intelligence services. “The Islamist terrorist threat is real“, underlined the Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal.
