The ECHL League has announced that the game between the Trois-Rivières Lions and the Adirondack Thunder scheduled for Sunday January 2 has been moved to a later date. The Trois-Rivières formation is currently grappling with a major outbreak of cases. In one day, 11 team members were added to the COVID-19 protocol.
Among the players, Tristan Bérubé, Mathieu Brisebois, Mathieu Brodeur, Alexis D’Aoust, Olivier Galipeau, Marc-Antoine Gélinas Jonathan Joannette, Nicolas Larivière and Darick Louis-Jean have all received a positive diagnosis for the virus. Head coach Éric Bélanger and goaltending coach Alex Cousineau are also affected.
