Black Death mass grave discovered in Germany

In Germany, arguably the largest mass grave of the Black Death in Europe was discovered. This discovery was made in Nuremberg. Hundreds of skeletons were found in a mass grave dating from the 17th century. A retirement home was to be built on this site. In all, more than a thousand victims of the Black Death were buried here. All bones were analyzed. The bacteria of the time will allow researchers to better understand past epidemics and developments for those to come.
