After helping the Cleveland Browns qualify for the playoffs, Joe Flacco is moving to Indianapolis with the Colts.
Flacco and the Colts have agreed to terms on a one-year, $4.5 million contract guaranteed, a person with knowledge of the matter told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
This person spoke anonymously because the contract has not been finalized.
Flacco could receive up to US8.7 million due to performance bonuses.
Flacco was named the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player with the Baltimore Ravens in February 2013.
He was 4-1 in five starts last season.
He threw for over 300 yards in four straight games, collecting 13 touchdown passes.
Flacco’s agent, Joe Linta, told the Associated Press that his client wanted to stay with the Browns to support Deshaun Watson, but that the team did not make him an offer.
Flacco turned down an offer from the Philadelphia Eagles. The New Orleans Saints were also interested in the veteran quarterback’s services.
