Residents of Gresse-en-Vercors parodied “Jurassic Park” to praise the merits of their town and attract new people.
In the Alps, residents of the peaceful town of Gresse-en-Vercors (Isère) parodied the film Jurassic Park by adding modified subtitles. They wish to promote their town with humor and imagination. “I think it’s great, it makes me want to go there”, assures a man. Humor is used to attract attention. With this video, the authors hope to coax future residents with a few arguments, such as the presence of a nursery or a school.
One of the two classes at the school threatened with closure
“We had to select, because in fact we realized that there are lots of things in Gresse-en-Vercors and lots of services”, indicates Stéphane Pallavisni, member of the T-Gresse collective. Published Monday March 4 on the Internet, the parody has already accumulated several thousand views. This will perhaps save one of the two classes at the village school, which is threatening to close due to lack of students.
