It’s a show she regrets having participated in. In an interview given to TVMAGAdriana Karembeu spoke candidly about her participation in
Dance with the stars
. The model was in the casting of the very first season, and danced alongside Julien Brugel, who left the program several years ago. She managed to climb to fourth placenarrowly escaping the final in which M. Pokora (winner), Sofia Essaïdi (second) and David Ginola (third). However, she had done better than André Manoukian, Rossy de Palma, Marthe Mercadier and Jean-Marie Bigard, and had been awarded some good marks such as 8 out of 10 from Jean-Marc Généreux and Alessandra Martines.
However, as she explained to Sarah Lecoeuvre, Adriana Karembeu has very bad memories of this television experience: “I said to myself: It’s okay, it’s going to be a treat for me. But what did I suffer!” remembers the fifty-year-old, before giving more details on the intensive program imposed on her by her dance partner. “I almost died, it was so complicated. I don’t know how to dance, actually. It was a nightmare” she remembers.
A regular on television shows
An experience which was in no way beneficial to her, Adriana Karembeu ensuring that she did not keep any advice given to her by the dancers and judges : “No, still not, maybe in the nightclubs. But I finished 4th anyway. Maybe because I was friendly. Otherwise it was dead” she quipped.
