It’s definitely men’s winter fucked on Quebec TV. After the cord collector Reasonable doubt and the narcissistic pervert in The emperorhere comes the killer of the WestIndefensiblea deranged person who smokes crack and who enjoys the candles, always neatly lined up on his bedside table.
Night security guard in a condo building, prey hunter in broad daylight, the Western Killer, played by Stéphane Demers, attacks pretty, emancipated and wealthy women in their forties.
Since his arrival at TVA last week, the psychopath in the black cap has murdered a beautician from Mount Royal and a smiling real estate agent. This asocial murderer, whose name is Daniel Raynaud, even makes a scrapbook with the photos of his victims, which he flips through while sinking into “cabalistic delusions”.
Yes, this is an over-the-top character who checks all the boxes – and more – of the terrifying maniac who would be the subject of an HBO “true crime” miniseries in a few years.
This is the first time thatIndefensible is moving into serial killer territory and let’s just say the perpetrators are getting to the bottom of it, Leon, while there’s still plenty left.

The Western Killer sports tattoos on his knuckles. He lives in a filthy apartment, which he shares with a weird roommate (Patrick Lauzon), addicted to casino games on his tablet. Level of deviance: extreme.
In this plot which would suit better Reasonable doubt that every day at 7 p.m., the assassin injects his victims with a syringe, ties them up, tortures them, burns them and engraves an omega symbol on their skin, at the point of a knife. He does not rape them, but hits them with a nail bar, which he then leaves at the crime scene.
This murky and sordid story, which continues this week, still had a positive effect on Indefensible : she brought back into the episodes detective sergeant Maryse St-Gelais (Marilou Morin), an endearing, brilliant and dedicated police officer, who we don’t see enough.
I would say the same thing about private detective Claude Gagnon (Nathalie Madore): use her more often, because she really pays off on screen.
The last victim of the Western killer, Évelyne Cardin (Noémie Yelle), a 40-year-old portfolio manager, experienced the horror in the madman’s distressing bedroom, gagged and tied to an office chair.
Judicial series, Indefensible turned into a horror film. The unhinged Daniel Raynaud, frozen as a stone, spoke of the woman’s sex as a sacred temple. Her trip ? Make his victims write in a notebook, revel in their agony, then watch the life leave their eyes.
Then the mentally ill man screamed, “Glorious transfer of life energy. Strength. Enjoyment. Metaphysical orgasm! “. As Pierre Poilievre would say about the fiasco ofArriveCAN : WTF.
Next to this completely blown-up Western killer, inspired by the real Laurier Avenue killer, Agostinho Ferreira, the kidnapper influencer Mylène Kirouac (Rebecca Vachon) is a model of psychological balance.
Other folderIndefensible which must be discussed, that of the aggressor factor Jérémie Martel (Lucien Ratio). Pinned for the rape of Amina Hamadou (Madeline Sarr), he denied it and swore to his lawyer Kim Nolin (Julie Trépanier) that he had never, ever touched this woman, despite incriminating evidence of DNA filed against him.
It might have been plausible. Because this same Jérémie Martel, a double of the writer David Goudreault, was suspected of the kidnapping of Inès Saïd (Nour Belkhiria), in which he had no part. But, between two episodes, poof, Jérémie Martel confessed everything and pleaded guilty to the attack on Amina, as if he had been penetrated by a divine illumination. Could it be that we are missing a piece of the puzzle to better understand this sudden about-face?
To the list of intriguing characters ofIndefensibleI add Jessica Renaud (Émilie Lajoie), former mistress of Me Legrand (Martin-David Peters), who has been promoted to the role of official spouse.
She is cunning, this Jessica Renaud. She is clearly manipulating Frédéric Legrand to use his office at the Lapointe, Macdonald and Desjardins firm, which the police cannot wiretap. The coded discussion between Jessica and her imprisoned father clearly explained the plan to entrap Me Great.
Now, let’s settle one last burning question: will lawyer Marie-Anne Desjardins (Anne-Élisabeth Bossé) put on her criminal lawyer’s gown again or will she extend, indefinitely, her healing stay in Costa Rica?
