The annual cost “fluctuates from one organization to another, because each region or municipality has very distinct subsidy agreements. For a recreational session of 10 classes lasting 60 minutes each, the cost is approximately $60 to $175,” indicates Natation Artistique Québec.
An example for a winter session of 13 one-hour lessons: $185 at the Les Amethystes synchronized swimming club in Sherbrooke for the “Allez à l’eau” program, designed by Artistic Swimming Canada to introduce young people aged 4 to 9 years in artistic swimming.

If the child turns to competition
Young people aged 12 and under have access to the regional competitive program and the provincial program. “The cost varies from $500 to $2000 depending on the number of hours of training (from approximately 4 to 12 hours per week) and the number of routines (solo and/or duo and/or team),” estimates Artistic Swimming Quebec. “Competition fees vary depending on the distance of the championships from year to year: registration for competitions, hotel, travel, meals, fees for coaches. »
The basic equipment is similar to that of recreational programs, to which “are generally added a club tracksuit/swimsuit ($100 to $200), a black swimsuit ($75) as well as routine swimsuits ( $100 to $200). Some clubs include these fees in the annual cost mentioned above, others do not.
