In Toulouse, in Haute-Garonne, the Cité de l’Espace is launching a new attraction: Lune Xplorer, in which it is possible to take a seat in a rocket simulator.
In Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), board a spaceship, embark in a capsule similar to the one that will soon return man to the Moon. This childhood dream is the new immersive experience offered by the Cité de l’Espace, for visitors who are as impatient as they are tense before departure. Every detail is intended to be realistic, such as the number of passengers, four per capsule. The simulator is in fact a centrifuge which reproduces all the effects of acceleration. Pinned back, the passengers are then unable to reach the controls. The experience was validated by the astronauts themselves.
An arrival on the Moon
The mission ends with an arrival on the Moon, more relevant than ever in 2024. “The Moon is really the adventure of the next decade, so yes, we want to make people feel what is happening in the news, that’s part of our missions,” explains Benjamin Peter, news manager at Cité de l’Espace.
