Flammarion announced on Wednesday February 28 that it was reissuing, in electronic form, Side stitch by Judith Godrèche, 1995 novel which recounted the end of a teenage girl’s relationship with an older man. The publisher told AFP that this book, out of print for many years, would be available for purchase online “in the coming days”confirming daily information West France. “We are considering the idea of republishing it,” the publishing house also added. The book has been increasingly sought after in recent weeks.
This autobiographically inspired novel was published shortly after its author left director Benoît Jacquot, 25 years older than her. The actress, aged 22 at the time, portrayed Juliette, a young film buff, who was regaining her freedom at the start of her twenties.

Judith Godrèche filed a complaint at the beginning of February against Benoît Jacquot, 77 years old, and another director, Jacques Doillon, 79 years old, for “rape of a 15-year-old minor. Side stitch is the only book she has published.
