Oleg Orlov, one of the last opponents of Vladimir Putin, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for denouncing the war in Ukraine. The Nobel Peace Prize winner, whose NGO Peace Memorial was dissolved in 2021, spoke of a political act. “I want to continue doing my work in Russia and this trial is part of my fight”, he commented. Oleg Orlov will spend his detention in a penitentiary center.
