Toronto Maple Leafs winning streak ends at 7
Jonathan Marchessault had two goals and an assist on Tuesday, leading the Vegas Golden Knights to a 6-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Marchessault has 32 goals this season, a career high.
He first scored in the middle of the third period, before completing his double into an empty net.
William Karlsson, Ivan Barbashev, Mason Morelli and Nicolas Roy also scored for the Knights, who had lost three straight games.
Morelli got his second NHL goal, in his fifth game in the league.
Shea Theodore provided three assists and Adin blocked 29 shots, being beaten by Tyler Bertuzzi and Ryan Reaves.
Ilya Samsonov stopped 26 pucks for the Maple Leafs, who had won seven games in a row.
The Maple Leafs will host the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday, who were beaten 4-2 in Montreal on Tuesday.
