If health measures are less strict in 2022 than in 2021, a few rules will have to be observed for New Year’s Eve. Update on the main measures put in place on the evening of December 31.
Friday December 31, the French will not be subject to a curfew. If they will be able to circulate all night in public spaces, they will be strictly prohibited from organizing large gatherings there. Alcohol consumption will be banned on the streets in much of the country, between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. The police headquarters set up patrols responsible for ensuring order, and severely punish people who do not respect these instructions. “If shortcomings are noted (…) there could be grounds for verbalizations (…) for example 135 euros for gatherings which give rise to the consumption of alcohol “, said Laetitia Vallar, spokesperson for the Paris police headquarters.
