The Blues achieved a historic success on Friday against their beast nemesis to reach the first final in their history.
A two-step waltz. After a very high level first period, the France team struggled in the second act but managed to defeat Germany (2-1) in the semi-finals of the League of Nations, Friday February 23. Put on the right track by Kadidatou Diani with a superb half-volley (41st), the Blues doubled the lead thanks to Sakina Karchaoui from the penalty spot (45th+4), just before half-time.
More in difficulty after returning from the locker room, the French kept their backs and still created a few opportunities on the counterattack. Despite the reduction of the gap from Giulia Gwinn on a penalty (82nd), the Blue reached the final of the League of Nations, the first final in their history. They have a meeting with a big player, Spain, reigning world champion, on Wednesday.
