(New York) The NFL salary cap for 2024 will be 255.4 million – a record increase of 30.6 million from last year.
From 198.2 million in 2020, the ceiling fell to 182.5 million in 2021, due to the pandemic.
It was increased to 208.2 million in 2022, then to 224.8 million last year.
“The increase is the result of the full reimbursement of the amounts advanced by the clubs and deferred by the players during the pandemic, and also an extraordinary increase in media revenues for the 2024 season,” the league said in a press release.
The NFL Combine takes place next week, while the free agent market begins on March 13.
