Mahjoub Mahjoubi deported to Tunisia

Still on X, Gérald Darmanin confirmed that “Instructions had been given to issue a ministerial expulsion order against this radical ‘imam’ with unacceptable comments”.

Mahjoub Mahjoubi is accused of having “conveyed a literal, retrograde, intolerant and violent conception of Islam”, during his sermons on February 2, 9 and 16, according to the ministerial expulsion order that franceinfo was able to consult. His words are “likely to encourage behavior contrary to the values ​​of the Republic, discrimination against women, withdrawal into identity, tensions with the Jewish community and jihadist radicalization”, indicates the Ministry of the Interior.

“I am going to contest this procedure through a procedure called summary expulsion before the Paris administrative court”reacted the imam’s lawyer, who specifies that he has two days to do so.
