In franceinfo junior this Thursday, we talk about DYS disorders: dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysphasia, dyspraxia… Carole Varin, speech therapist at Bicêtre University Hospital, assigned to the Neurological Rehabilitation and Learning Disorders center, answers questions from middle school students.
The first question is asked by Léa: “What is the difference between an average person and a DYS person?” The opportunity for the guest to present the full diversity of DYS disorders.
“What is the most widespread and most disabling disorder in the population?” Daria asks.
“Is it complicated on a daily basis for people not diagnosed with DYS?” Yes, answers Carole Varin because it is a handicap “who is not seen”.
Nolan wonders what are the “systems put in place to help students in class”.
Do these disorders “take care of themselves”?, asks Léa.
