As a great democrat, Doug Ford wants to force a referendum for anyone who wants to bring back the carbon tax to Ontario. A tax that he considers horrible, since it takes money out of the taxpayer’s pockets, while he, as a good conservative, wants to put this money in said pocket. Except that without measures that give effect to the polluter pays principle, it is not just the money that will go into our pockets.
