The Northern prefecture bans the concert of rapper Freeze Corleone scheduled for Thursday at the Zénith in Lille, we can read in a press release from the prefecture published Wednesday February 14. In question, indicates the press release, the lyrics of several songs which contain “conspiratorial comments, openly anti-Semitic and marked by admiration for the person of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich as well as comments advocating terrorism which refer to the Nice attack”.

The prefecture recalls, among other things, that “Advocating terrorism is a criminal offense” and that there exists “a high risk that remarks constituting a criminal offense will be made during the concert […] and therefore seriously disturbing public order.. It is therefore for “prevent any breach of public order and the commission of criminal offences” that the prefect, Bertrand Gaume, issued this decree.

On Saturday, France Bleu Azur revealed that the association of victims of the July 14 attack in Nice, Life for Nice, had filed a complaint against the rapper for “apology of terrorism”. The association criticizes Freeze Corleone for the lyrics of a song released last Thursday, entitled Haaland and in which – according to the association – the rapper refers to the Promenade des Anglais and the Nice attack. The Nice prosecutor’s office has opened a preliminary investigation for “apology of terrorism” against the rapper.
