Farmers are still mobilized, less than two weeks before the Agricultural Show. They brought their demands on the morning of Tuesday February 13 in Paris, near the National Assembly. At the beginning of February, the government announced several measures and 400 million euros in aid. Where are we with these promises? Among the measures already in place, the freeze on non-road diesel, GNR. Sandie Marthoud, a farmer, was able to request a refund of part of the taxes paid in 2023 two months in advance. She should receive 3,500 euros within 15 days.
What about the breeding and Ecophyto plans?
Officially, emergency aid has also been launched: 80 million euros are planned for viticulture in crisis, and 50 million for livestock affected by bovine disease, but nothing has been concretely paid. Two other questions remain unclear, firstly, that of the breeding plan announced by the government. Finally, what will become of the Ecophyto plan? It plans to halve the use of pesticides in France by 2030. The government has paused it while maintaining the objective, but without giving further details.
