When Greta Thunberg moves, whether she wants to or not, and she really seems not to want to, she does not go unnoticed. The Swedish environmental activist was in the South-West of France on Saturday February 10 and Sunday February 11. On Saturday, the young woman joined the activists fighting against the A69 construction site in Tarn. On Sunday, she was in Bordeaux to participate in the demonstration against the project of new oil wells in La Teste-de-Buch, in Gironde.
In Bordeaux, the demonstration brought together 3,000 people according to the organizers, 1,200 according to the prefecture. Daniel, 32, noticed Greta Thunberg in the middle of the crowd. “This is a person who stood up and said fuck itestimates the thirty-year-old. Because of her age, everyone picked up on it and she became, for me, a climatic martyr.”he adds.
“It is the shield, it is the spearhead of the cause.”

At each outing, dozens of cameras, cameras and microphones surround Greta Thunberg. “The poor”Sonia is indignant in the Bordeaux procession. “It’s a little dehumanizing to treat her as if she were an object that represents the entire movement, she’s an activist like any other”believes the protester. “It just makes me sad, whether it’s for her or for other celebrities“, she explains. We treat them as if they were just an image to be photographed. It’s more than that it makes me sad for her, to be surrounded so much, to be treated like an object.”
Greta Thunberg retired from media life four years ago. Since then, she has continued to repeat it: she now prefers to give the floor to local actors and scientists.
