The Clover XV passed six tries to the totally overwhelmed Italians on Sunday at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin (36-0).
An Irish ballad. Without giving the impression of forcing against Italy, Jack Crowley’s partners recited their rugby on Sunday February 11, during the 2nd day of the Six Nations Tournament. Three tries per period, no points conceded, an invincibility at home which has now lasted 18 matches… All the lights seem green for the team which is at the top of the Tournament standings.
Capable of scoring first hand as well as after a succession of playing time, both at ground level and wide, Ireland offered the Transalpines a lesson in efficiency. Powerless to offer the slightest offensive response, the Squadra also sank in defense, missing too many tackles to hope to stem the green surge.
