On the Doctolib platform, you generally make an appointment with a general practitioner or a dentist. But, in just a few clicks, it is possible to book a magnetism or quantum osteopathy session. Practices without any scientific basis, some of which are followed by Miviludes, the organization responsible for combating sectarian abuses in France.

Moderation based “on the existing legal framework”

Asked about the fact that practitioners of this type are present on Doctolib, Camille Vaziaga, director of public affairs of the platform, responds: “We cannot know what is happening within the healthcare professional’s office. Doctolib is a content host, and not a content publisher. This means that we rely on it to moderate the content different profiles on Doctolib, on the existing legal framework.”

Asked more specifically about the fact that a magnetizer session is offered, Camille Vaziaga adds: “Today, the reality is that the osteopath can offer to be a magnetizer at the same time, without being worried by the law.“Doctolib is asking the authorities for a precise list of practices to be avoided. In the meantime, it is still possible to consult a shaman doctor on the platform, because there is nothing illegal.
