This Monday, February 5, Dakar wakes up after clashes between security forces and demonstrators protesting against the postponement of the presidential election announced by Head of State Macky Sall. Opponents were arrested, including a former Prime Minister, and the broadcasting authorization of a television channel was suspended.
7.2% of young people aged 18 to 24 had suicidal thoughts in 2021. This is double compared to 2014, according to the latest barometer from Public Health France, and this should therefore be linked to the effects of confinement on mental health.
