Democrats and Republicans are going to the polls today in Nevada to elect the candidate who will represent their respective parties in the 2024 US presidential election. The current President of the United States, Joe Biden, is seeking a second term in the White House, handily won the Democratic primary in South Carolina last Saturday.
On the Republican side, caucuses – local assemblies of voters during which the party champion is designated – are also planned for Thursday. Former President Donald Trump is already predicted to win in the Western state against his rival, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley.
