(Mammoth) Freestyle skier Amy Fraser scored her first World Cup victory without having to ski on Friday during the halfpipe event.
A snowstorm forced the cancellation of all events at Mammoth, including the women’s halfpipe final.
This is Fraser’s third World Cup halfpipe medal. She won bronze in China in December and silver in Colorado the previous season.
The 28-year-old Frazer won the gold medal for her first place in qualifying on Tuesday, in which she scored 85.50 points. Olympic champion Eileen Gu (83.50) was second and Zoe Atkin (82.50) third.
Dillan Glennie of British Columbia was fifth with 80 points.
