“Sites with a substantially higher traffic like YouPorn have not been subject to any action by the CSA at this stage”, writes TuKif in a press release sent to AFP. TuKif asks “the suspension of any action against its site pending an action targeting all the sites concerned to avoid a significant imbalance of the market and a distortion of competition to its detriment “. “The competition authority was also informed of the referral to the CSA by TuKif.com”, adds the site.
Five pornographic sites (Pornhub, TuKif, Xhamster, Xvideos, Xnxx) were summoned by the CSA on December 13 to prevent minors from accessing their content within two weeks, under penalty of seeing their platforms blocked by judicial decision.
The Penal Code prohibits exposing minors to pornographic photos and videos and the law on domestic violence of July 30, 2020 specifies that the companies concerned cannot exonerate themselves from their responsibilities by simply asking an Internet user if he is major. Since the entry into force of this law, the CSA can seize the president of the judicial court, who can request the blocking of the offending sites to the providers of Internet access.
