A 16-year-old teenager was injured by a sharp object following an altercation Saturday evening in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough, in Montreal.
911 received the call around 8:40 p.m. to report a man stabbed on rue Euclide-Brien, near boulevard Saint-Michel, reported spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) Jeanne Drouin.
The young man was injured in the upper body and transported to the hospital, where his life is not feared.
However, the suspects fled before the police arrived, and no arrests have been made at this time.
A perimeter was erected to allow investigators to analyze the scene, and the investigation is still ongoing.
The police officers on site will meet with witnesses and attempt to view videos taken by possible surveillance cameras.
