Brayden Schenn decides in overtime for the Blues

(St. Louis) Brayden Schenn scored 1:04 into overtime to help the St. Louis Blues defeat the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 on Saturday.


Schenn took advantage of a nice pass from Pavel Buchnevich during the extra period to score his 13e fillet of the season.

Jordan Kyrou had a goal and two assists for the Blues, who won a fifth straight game. This is a high for the Missouri club this season.

Buchnevich and Nick Leddy also flashed the red light in the victory and Joel Hofer stopped 30 pucks. Buchnevich has hit the target at least once in his last three games.

Phillip Danault forced an extra period with his 10e goal of the season, 76 seconds from the end of the third period.

Adrian Kempe and Jaret Anderson-Dolan also shook things up for the Kings, who have lost their last four games. David Rittich made 28 saves.

For the Blues, Scott Perunovich left the game in the third period due to a lower body injury. He collected two assists in the game.
