It’s a program that TF1 had filmed almost a year ago and that the channel only broadcast at the start of the year, after long months of waiting. On January 19 and 26, Hélène Mannarino was at the helm of a brand new TV show aimed at children, called Dream Team: The next generation of stars. In this original creation designed by Fox Alternative Entertainment, six renowned singers acted as coaches, and were all at the head of a team of young singers aged 8 to 15 years old. The children compete in battles, and are judged by the public, and by four professionals: the singers Anggun And Lorie Pesterguitarist and singer Michael Jonesand the choreographer Chris Marques. At the end of the competition, the children of the victorious team win a trip.
Unfortunately, this new show is far from having worked… The audiences proved more than disappointing for TF1, and the teams led by Matt Pokora, Camille Lellouche, Jenifer, Black M, Lara Fabian and Claudio Capéo didn’t really bring in the crowds. Last week, the first issue only attracted 2.24 million viewers in its first part, for 11.9% of the general public and 16.6% of housewives under the age of fifty. The second part, broadcast between 10:37 p.m. and 12:02 a.m., attracted the attention of only 1.87 million viewers, increasing the overall market share to 16.8% and that of housewives to 21.9%. This Friday, the final, which allowed Loan to take Matt Pokora’s team to victory on the title And bam of Mentissa, has however progressed. The first part appealed 2.37 million followers, or 12.8% of those aged four and over and 19.1% of housewives; the second part remained at 2.30 million, for 17.8% of the public and 19.3% of housewives.

If the progression of audiences for the second issue is reassuring, the scores on targets are however very low… It’s difficult to imagine a second season for this program, with a concept very close to The Voice Kidsof The Voice and some star Academy.
