“We are not seeing on the ground” a gradual return of amoxicillin, says the Federation of Pharmaceutical Unions of France

“We don’t see that on the ground. We have a shortage of amoxicillin”said Saturday January 27 on franceinfo Philippe Besset, president of the Federation of Pharmaceutical Unions of France (FSPF) thus contradicting the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM) which announced Friday “a gradual improvement in supply”.

Amoxicillin is the active antibiotic substance in the drugs Clamoxyl and Augmentin. “We are in very many cases at a standstill. We really have a problem with antibiotics, we can’t get out of it”he says.
