Quebecers shared more than $1.6 billion won thanks to the lottery in 2023, including 89 prizes of $1 million or more.
“Quebecers were particularly lucky in 2023. Thanks in particular to the Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49 and Grande Vie jackpots that were won, more than $1.6 billion was awarded to families here,” recalled Isabelle Jean, executive vice-president and head of lottery operations at Loto-Québec.
Among the main prizes won in the province, on December 15, a family from the Laurentians got their hands on the $50,000,000 Lotto Max jackpot. On Halloween night, the Lotto Max jackpot, worth $55,000,000, was won by a couple from Estrie. During the Thanksgiving weekend, a Montrealer also won the Lotto Max jackpot, which was $50,000,000
Two sisters from Estrie won the jackpot of $7,000,000 in the Grande Vie draw on December 28 and a couple from Chaudière-Appalaches won $5,000,000 in Lotto 6/49 on December 23.
