A second union affiliated with the Autonomous Education Federation (FAE) rejected the agreement in principle concluded between the Quebec government and the central union.
Members of the Basses-Laurentides Education Union (SEBL) voted 72% against the agreement on Wednesday night. Note that the union recommended that they reject it.
On the SEBL Facebook page, however, some members deplored a low participation rate at the meeting. No official figures have been released in this regard.
The SEBL represents approximately 7,900 teachers at the Mille-Îles School Service Center.
Last week, members of the Laval Teaching Union also rejected the agreement. Four other unions affiliated with the FAE, however, accepted it.
