The C8 channel is fined after insults towards Johnny Hallyday’s daughter, aged 14, in the show “Touche pas à mon poste”

A new fine after comments made in “Touche pas à mon poste”. The C8 channel, owned by the Bolloré group, was fined 50,000 euros after insulting comments made towards one of Johnny and Laeticia Hallyday’s daughters on Cyril Hanouna’s show. The sequence, dated January 30, 2023, is “likely to infringe the rights of the young girl [adolescente de 14 ans] to respect his honor and his reputation”, according to the decision of the Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom), published in the Official Journal, Tuesday January 23.

“Several videos of the young girl were broadcast in close-up and for a significant period of time, and one of the show’s columnists notably declared about her: ‘For me, it is the height of vulgarity’, ‘it’s super vulgar, with her tongue, her mouth, her tits'”, notes the decision. Arcom also notes that Cyril Hanouna, aware that it was a teenager, had refrained from condemning “explicitly the words” held on its tray. The show “Touche pas à mon poste” has earned C8 a shower of warnings and sanctions from Arcom in recent years, for a total of 7.5 million euros.
